CAÑON CITY - The Probate team of the McDermott Law Firm has just returned from a seminar on probate issues in Denver.  Attorney Barbara Wiederstein and Legal Assistant Caryn Dorn attended the seminar July 30 in Denver that was an update on recent changes in probate law and procedure.

Wiederstein said that she found the seminar instructive.  "Probate law is always in a state of change.  New statutes, new tax laws, new court rules -- the only way to effectively serve your clients is to keep up to date on these constant changes."

Dorn agreed.  "One thing I like about the McDermott Law Firm is that we have a 'team' concept toward serving our clients.  With what I've learned at this seminar, I can better assist Barbara in her work for our clients."  Dorn is the firm's legal assistant on probate and estate planning matters, assisting attorneys Wiederstein and John McDermott, who both practice in the probate field of law.
