CAŅON CITY - Three members of the staff of the McDermott Law Firm have returned from a four-day convention hosted by the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.  The convention featured seminars on a wide variety of topics, including trial tactics, dealing with the recent changes in Colorado's auto insurance laws, and recent advances in medical treatment of automobile accidents.

Attorneys John McDermott and Dan Slater joined legal assistant Christine Hutchison in attending this year's convention in Vail.  The convention's education activities began Thursday, and continued through Sunday. 

"Attending this seminar gives us the opportunity to learn more about personal injury law, as well as to network with other trial lawyers from around the state," said McDermott.  "Particularly with all of the recent changes in the automobile insurance laws, it is critical for us to have a full and complete understanding of the current status of the law.  As leaders in Southern Colorado personal injury law, our clients expect nothing less."
