John McDermott is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Colorado and the State of Florida, as well as the U. S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit (and the U.S. Court of Military Appeals).

Mr. McDermott is both a past and present member of the Eleventh Judicial District Nominating Commission.

Following law school and prior to his call to active duty in the U.S. Army with the Judge Advocate General Corps, he served as judicial clerk and research assistant to the Chief Judge of the Florida Court of Appeals, Second District.

Shawn McDermott is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Colorado, as well as before the U. S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
